Our Grinch Hot Chocolate is one of my most favorite Grinch recipes we have on the blog. We make this every time we watch the Grinch! Green hot chocolate can come in handy for a few different occasions, but we love making it for the holiday season!

Grinch Hot Chocolate

How the Grinch Stole Christmas is at the top of the list for our favorite movies for Christmas, and this hot chocolate recipe just takes our family movie night to the next level! It is a smooth hot chocolate recipe, and the white hot chocolate gives us a change up from our usual hot cocoa. This tasty hot chocolate makes 5-6 smaller servings, or 4 larger servings.

Why we love this recipe-

  • It is easy to whip up right on the stove top.
  • It is such a fun and festive recipe themed around our favorite Christmas movie!
  • We used simple ingredients to make this delicious white hot chocolate recipe, dyed green!
  • Having Grinch hot cocoa and snacks is our favorite way to enjoy the movie!

Step 3: Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla and salt to the melted chocolate mixture.

For best results, enjoy immediately, given time to cool slightly to a safe drinking temperature.

This is a hot beverage so be sure to supervise any littles that are enjoying it!

Tips:

  • If you can’t find heart sprinkles, red candy hearts will work as well!
  • If you prefer a thinner hot chocolate, swap the heavy cream for half and half. You could also drop the half and half completely and just use 5 cups of whole milk!
  • Give your cocoa a minty addition by serving with candy canes or crushed peppermints to melt into your mug!

Pro Tip:

You could make this recipe in a slow cooker, as well, and that would be a great way to double the recipe and whip up a whole bunch for a crowd. Simply combine the milk, cream, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, and salt in your slow cooker and cook on low until the mixture is steamy and chocolate is all melted.

This adorable Grinch hot chocolate recipe is so much fun and is sure to get the whole family into the Christmas spirit.
