Taco Ring Recipe

This easy Taco Crescent Ring is perfect for taco night. It is a great recipe that the whole family will love. It makes a great dinner or even a game day or game night snack, or easy appetizer for your next party. Here’s how to make this Taco Ring recipe.

Taco Ring Ingredients:

  • 2 (8 oz.) cans of crescent rolls
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (1 oz.) package Old El Paso Taco Seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded mexican cheese blend, plus extra for topping
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Sour cream, or other toppings, for serving

Directions:

Step 1: In a large skillet, cook and chop ground beef, until browned.

Step 2: Drain and return to the pan.

Step 3: Stir in taco seasoning and the water (from packet) and cook according to the package directions, just a few minutes until taco mixture has thickened.

Step 4: Remove from the heat and stir in 1 cup shredded cheese.

Step 5: Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.

Step 6: On a large baking sheet, unroll the crescent rolls and separate into 16 individual triangles.

Step 7: To make the dough ring, begin laying out each crescent dough triangle with the wide edges inward to make a sun formation, overlapping the wide ends. Leave about a 5-inch circle in the middle.

Step 9: Once the triangles are all placed, spoon the cheese and taco-seasoned ground beef mixture around the inner part of the ring where the wide ends overlap to make a ring.

Step 10: Fold the short sides of the triangles over and tuck them under the inside of the circle.

Step 11: Once all of the crescents are folded over, bake for 20-25 min, until golden brown.

Step 12: Allow to cool slightly and then make a lettuce bed in the middle of the ring. Add tomatoes, green onions, and extra cheese on top of the lettuce.

To serve, cut a triangle out of the taco ring, and serve with sour cream or any of your favorite taco toppings.
