This Valentines Day Hot Chocolate is the perfect way to celebrate, and one of our favorite Valentine’s Day treats. It is essentially, a pink Valentine’s Day version of white hot chocolate. We made it with delicious white chocolate chips and a bit or pink or red food coloring, whatever you have on hand. The best part about this recipe, is how easy it is to make, right on the stove top.

Valentines Day Hot Chocolate

Be sure and bookmark this fun treat to make for your favorite people on Valentine’s Day. It’s pretty cold here still in February, making this the perfect time to whip up some bright pink hot chocolate!

Valentines Day Hot Chocolate Ingredients:

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3-4 drops of pink gel food coloring (or 1-2 drops of red)
  • Whipped cream or marshmallows for topping
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles for topping

Directions:

Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, milk, vanilla, salt, and food coloring.

Step 2: Heat over medium heat, stirring to combine the melted chocolate.

Step 3: Once steamy and chocolate has melted, remove from the heat.

Step 4: Pour into mugs, and top with whipped cream or mini marshmallows, and Valentine’s Day festive sprinkles.

Our white hot chocolate recipe makes for a delicious cup of hot chocolate, and it is a nice change from the usual chocolate version. Plus, it’s easy to make in a variety of colors, in this case, pink! You can even get older kids to help, they’ll have so much fun making this treat.
