These Grinch Pretzel Bites are so adorable, and the perfect sweet treats for watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Whether you are a fan of the original, the new cartoon, or the Jim Carrey Grinch, you need snacks for your movie watching, and these fun Grinch pretzel bites are perfect!

Grinch Pretzel Bites

These are so much fun for the holiday season- think your holiday party or a family movie night watching your favorite Christmas movies. The crunchy pretzels, Hershey hugs with white and milk chocolate, dipped in even more milk chocolate, make the perfect combination. This sweet and salty snack is sure to be a fun addition to your holiday season.

Ingredients:

  • Half of a 12 oz. bag of pretzel snaps (140 pretzels total)
  • 70 Hershey hugs candies
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips (1 ½ (12 oz.) bags) – Ghirardelli are the best!
  • Green gel food coloring
  • 70 large Heart sprinkles or candy hearts

Grinch Pretzels Directions:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

Step 2: Line a large baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper or wax paper.

Step 3: Place pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4: Add a Hersheys hug candy to each pretzel.

Step 5: Bake in the oven for about 2 minutes, until the candies just start to look shiny.

Step 6: Remove from the oven, and top each candy with another snap pretzel.

Step 7: Move the candies to the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.

Step 8: Once the candies have set, use a double boiler to melt the white chocolate chips. Once they’ve melted, add several drops of green food coloring, and stir well to combine until color is incorporated. Add extra, if needed, to get the perfect green color.

Step 9: Take each pretzel candy, and dip a corner into the green melted chocolate, coating about half of the candy.

Step 10: Return to the baking sheet, and place a red heart sprinkle onto the candy.

Step 11: Once all of the candies have been coated, move them back to the refrigerator to set for about another hour.

Yummy grinch pretzel bites dipped in white chocolate!

  • 70 Hershey hugs candies
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips (1 ½ (12 oz.) bags) - Ghirardelli are the best!
  • Green gel food coloring

Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
    2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
    3. Lay 70 butter snap pretzels in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
    4. Add a Hersheys hug candy to each pretzel.
    5. Bake in the oven for about 2 minutes, until the candies just start to look shiny.
    6. Remove from the oven, and top each candy with another butter snap pretzel.
    7. Move the candies to the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.
    8. Once the candies have set, use a double boiler to melt the white chocolate chips. Once they’ve melted, add several drops of green gel food coloring, and stir well to combine until color is incorporated.
    9. Take each pretzel candy, and dip a corner into the green melted chocolate, coating about half of the candy.
