Pineapple Agua Fresca Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
- 2 cups of water (cold water)
- 2 tbsp. Simple syrup or other sweetener (we used agave nectar, but simple syrup is easy to make)
- Juice if ½ a lime
- Extra pineapple wedges and lime slices for garnish, optional
- Ice cubes
Directions
Step 1: In your blender, combine pineapple chunks, water, sweetener, and lime juice.
Step 2: Blend until smooth, 1-2 minutes, depending on your blender.
Note a high powdered Ninja type blender only takes 1 minute, but I think a regular blender will take longer.
Step 3: Taste, for sweetness and add more, if desired. Blend again for a few seconds, if needed. If desired, strain through a fine-mesh strainer, or enjoy as is over ice.
You can pour your Agua de Pina into a large pitcher, but be sure to enjoy it within 72 hours, and stir well before serving.
Garnish with fresh pineapple, if desired.
