Leprechaun Bait Snack Mix Ingredients
You can really customize this snack mix to any ingredients you prefer, but these are our favorites to include-
- 3 cups of popcorn, popped
- 2 cups chex cereal
- 1 cup mini pretzel twists
- 1/2 cup lucky charms marshmallows (we used the ones from the limited edition St. Patrick’s Day box)
- 1/4 cup green mint dark chocolate M&Ms
- Optional, gold sprinkles – these can be kind of hard, so definitely omit for younger little ones.
- 12 oz. bag of white chocolate chips
- Green gel food coloring
How to Make Make Leprechaun Bait
This is super easy to throw together, here’s how we do it-
- Cover a sheet pan with parchment paper, and sprinkle your ingredients onto the pan. Popcorn first, then chex/pretzels, then marshmallows, M&Ms, and sprinkles (if using).
- Add your chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat on 30 second intervals, stirring well in between, until melted.
- Add several drops of green food coloring, and stir until incorporated. Add more food coloring if you want a deeper green color.
- Add the chocolate to a frosting piping bag or a ziploc bag and cut off the tip of one corner.
- Drizzle chocolate over your snack mix.
- Move snack mix to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let the chocolate set.
- Now, you can serve, or store your snack mix in a ziploc bag for 1-3 days, until popcorn begins to get stale.
