Green St. Patrick’s Day Hot Chocolate

Today we are sharing a super fun green St. Patrick’s Day Hot Chocolate! This recipe is a white hot chocolate that we dyed for our St. Patty’s Day celebrations. It is super simple to make, with just a few ingredients, on the stove top. What really makes this recipe fun is the festive St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles we did on top. You can make a pot of this fun drink with just a few simple steps. Let’s talk about how to make it.

St. Patrick’s Day Hot Chocolate Ingredients:

• 3 cups milk
• ½ cup heavy cream
• ¼ cup sugar
• Pinch of salt
• 1 cup white chocolate chips
• ¼ tsp. Vanilla
• Green gel food coloring
• Whipped cream for topping
• St. Patrick’s sprinkles for topping (or any green sprinkles)

Directions:

Step 1: To a medium saucepan, add milk, heavy cream, sugar, salt, and white chocolate chips.

Step 2: Heat over medium heat until steamy, and chocolate has melted.

Step 3: Remove from the heat.

Step 4: Stir in vanilla and green gel food coloring. Start with a few drops, and add more until you reach your desired shade of green, stirring well.

Step 5: Pour green hot chocolate into a large mug and top with whipped cream and St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles.

Substitutions & Tips:

• Prefer mini marshmallows in your cup of hot chocolate to whipped cream? You can definitely make that swap. You could even use fun Lucky Charms marshmallows for a festive touch!
