Homemade Lemonade
One of my favorite things in the Summertime is fresh, homemade lemonade. I love the lemonade stands at the zoo and at our local trade days/flea market. It is so delicious and just makes me think of Summer fun. I really wanted a way to make fresh squeezed homemade lemonade at home, so I didn’t have to wait until I visited one of those places to have some, and I think I’ve perfected it. We invested in a lemon juicer since we’ve been doing so much cooking at home, and it has really come in handy not only for lemonade but for other recipes that call for fresh lemon juice.
Fresh Squeezed Homemade Lemonade
Here’s what you’ll need to make this recipe-
- 1 1/2-2 cups sugar, depending on how sweet you want your lemonade
- 1 1/2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 8 cups of water
- Lemon slices for garnish
This homemade lemonade is super easy to make, especially if you have a lemon juicer. You’ll need about 8 lemons, juiced. If you don’t like the pulp, you’ll want to strain the lemon juice, too.
Once you have your lemon juice, you can start combining everything in a large pitcher.
Start by adding the sugar and the lemon juice, and give it a good stir.

Add your water, and stir everything together really well.
You can chill the lemonade in the fridge, or add several handfuls of ice to the pitcher, and garnish with extra lemon slices for a fun presentation.
