  • You can even add additional fruit. Blueberries added to this would be perfect for 4th of July!
  • My husband does not love marshmallows, his perfect salad doesn’t have them. I’ve axed them from this recipe with success, if you want to skip the marshmallows as well.
  • You can swap the pudding flavors in this dessert, as well. Vanilla pudding and banana pudding would both be delicious.
  • This recipe isn’t great leftover, if you save it until the next day, be sure to give it a good stir before enjoying again, and toss after 24 hours. This recipe is best served right after it is made.
  • You can use a different yogurt, if you prefer as well. Vanilla yogurt would work perfectly, and you could even swap for more nutrient dense greek yogurt if you want.
  • When mixing, be careful not to smash the fruit. Be extra gentle when folding all of the ingredients together.

Yes, you can definitely include additional fruit in this banana strawberry cheesecake salad! Adding other fruits like blueberries, raspberries, or even some chunks of fresh pineapple can give the salad some extra flavor and texture. Yes, you can easily make homemade whipped cream for this recipe. All you need is heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and a little bit of vanilla extract. I feel that frozen berries are not going to lend to a visually pleasing salad, and I’m not sure that the textures of the thawed berries would be enjoyable, either. It’s best to stick with fresh fruits with this kind of salad.
