Peppermint Chip Milkshake

One of my favorite parts about the holiday season is the limited time Peppermint Chip Shake from Chick fil A! I recently considered making my own peppermint chip shake, and decided to reverse engineer and whip up this Peppermint Chip Milkshake Chick fil A copycat. When you ask Google what is included in the peppermint chip shake, it brings up the Chick fil A website, where it says the shake is made with their icedream dessert and chips of peppermint bark! Yum! Now, I didn’t want to go through the process of making peppermint bark to whip up a quick and easy milkshake, so I considered that there is white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, and candy canes or peppermint candies, typically in peppermint bark. Thus, our copy cat recipe was born. Let’s talk about how we made it.

Essentially, this is a peppermint chocolate chip milkshake, but in addition to chocolate chips we added white chocolate chips, and to get the peppermint flavor we added crushed candy canes. I prefer that over any peppermint extract, which can be pretty strong.

These are sure to add a little extra magic to the most wonderful time of the year. They are definitely on our list of favorite holiday treats. Keep this recipe on hand, for those times when you can’t make it to your local chick-fil-a to enjoy your milkshake in-store. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas time is to grab a peppermint chocolate chip shake and head to Target to do some Christmas shopping. You just can’t beat it, and now you can enjoy your shake at home!

If you are looking for the real deal, you can get your shake along with your other favorite menu items from November 14-January 7th!
