This is becoming our new Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning tradition, I’m not sure which, yet. I love all things mint, but my husband is not a fan, and even he said that this hot chocolate is amazing. That’s because we use candy canes to get the peppermint flavor- so it isn’t peppermint extract or peppermint oil- yuck. The candy canes are melted in and make this absolutely delicious. Also, I’m not sure how this would pair with regular chocolate, but we used white chocolate and it is seriously so good.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this drink-

Here’s how to make it-

  • In a large pot, heat milk over medium heat.
  • Once milk begins to put off steam, stir in chocolate and crushed candy canes.

  • Be careful not to boil the milk.
  • Stir for a minute or two until the chocolate and candy canes are melted, remove from heat.

  • Top with whipped cream and extra candy canes.

  • 4 cups milk
  • 8 oz. white chocolate chips
  • 4 candy canes crushed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Extra candy canes for topping + stirring

Instructions

    1. In a large pot, heat milk over medium heat.
