Caramel Apple Cider is one of my favorite things to drink in the Fall. It makes for a good break from hot chocolate, too. This hot caramel apple cider recipe makes a small batch, but I have instructions included in this post on how to make a large batch in your slow cooker. Here’s how to make caramel apple cider-

Why we love this recipe-

It is simple and delicious and makes enjoying warm apple cider easy peasy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups apple cider (we love Musselman’s apple cider, which you can find at grocery stores here in the South, and it is also on Amazon!)
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Extra caramel sauce for topping
  • Cinnamon sticks, or an apple slice or two for garnish, optional
How to make Caramel Apple Cider

Directions:

Step 1: To a medium sauce pan, add apple cider and caramel sauce.

Step 2: Heat over medium heat until steamy. Be careful, cider will be hot.

Step 3: Before serving, add whipped cream and caramel topping.

Optional: add a bit more sweetness by adding a tablespoon or two of brown sugar when you heat the apple cider and caramel.

Making a Large Batch in the Crock Pot

Ingredients:

  • ½  gallon apple cider
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Extra caramel sauce for topping
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish, optional

Directions:

To your crockpot add apple cider and caramel sauce. Heat on low for 2-3 hours, until steamy. Cider will be hot. Before serving, top with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
