White Hot Chocolate | Stove Top Recipe
You guys, my husband claims that he “doesn’t like chocolate.” What a weirdo, right? 😉 Well, I was really determined to make him a hot chocolate drink he could enjoy. He says that he does like white chocolate, so I figured why not make him some White Hot Chocolate?
Of course, he loved this recipe. It is quick and easy and you can whip it up right on your stovetop. It doesn’t get much better than a handful of ingredients and one step for the recipe.
How to Make White Hot Chocolate
You’ll need…
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 12 oz. bag of white chocolate chips
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Pinch of salt
It might be tempting to skip the heavy cream, but promise me you won’t! It really makes this drink so yummy and it just doesn’t compare without that cream.
To make it, you’ll just add all of your ingredients to a large pot and heat over medium heat until the white chocolate chips are melted, stirring frequently. This is a great recipe to have your little ones help with, since there isn’t much else involved except combining all of the ingredients and lots of stirring. I bet they’ll enjoy the reward for their hard work when they get to try this, too!
You can serve this immediately or leave it on low to keep it warm for a bit. Then, top with whipped cream or marshmallows and fun sprinkles. I’m hoping to make this Christmas Eve morning to really kick off the Christmas celebrations.
I love fun drinks during the holidays, especially different hot chocolate variations. I was really excited to make one that my husband could enjoy, too. Do you have a favorite holiday drink? I’d love to know in the comments. Share with us what your family loves to have during the holidays!
