Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces Nestle white chocolate chips (use the Nestle brand for best results)
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • Pinch of salt, optional
  • Neon green gel food coloring
  • Jumbo heart sprinkles

Grinch Fudge Directions

Step 1: Line an 8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper or wax paper, set aside.

Step 2: Use a double boiler to melt the white chocolate. Heat the water in the saucepan over medium heat, to boiling, to slowly melt the chocolate in the boiler above the pot.

Step 3: Once melted, add in sweetened condensed milk and a generous amount of the green gel food coloring to the melted chocolate. Stir well to combine and distribute the green color evenly.

Step 4: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, and tap it gently on the counter a few times to knock out any air bubbles and level off the mixture.

Step 5: Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then move to the refrigerator to chill for 4 hours.

Step 6: After the fudge has set, use a clean sharp knife to cut into squares and press a jumbo heart sprinkle into the top of the fudge pieces. The Grinch’s heart, of course.

FAQs & Tips:

  • Store fudge leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container, a freezer bag will do.
  • Be sure to work very quickly when it comes time to add the condensed milk to the chocolate, your fudge will start to solidify very quickly. Stir, stir, stir!

Can I melt the chocolate in the microwave for this recipe?

Normally, it’s easy to melt chocolate by microwaving on 30 second intervals, but making fudge can be kind of touchy, and we get the best results by melting the fudge on the stove top with a double boiler, or, like we do, very carefully with a pyrex bowl over top of a medium saucepan.
