Patriotic Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies
Cake mix cookies have quickly become some of my favorite. There are endless cake mix and topping combinations you can use, and the base is so simple and pretty fool proof, honestly. I whipped up these patriotic chocolate chip cake mix cookies with some yellow cake mix, chocolate chips, and festive red white and blue star sprinkles. I think they came out adorable and they will be so fun for some Summer celebrations!
The base of these cake mix cookies is so simple- you’ll need a box of white cake mix, 2 eggs, and 1/2 cup vegetable oil. You could essentially use any type of cake mix to get a different cookie flavor, and then coordinate your toppings to that flavor. These are so easy and so fun.

- 1 (18.5 oz) box of white cake mix
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp. Patriotic star sprinkles

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies
Here’s how to make these yummy cookies-
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil, until your dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop your dough onto your parchment paper 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
- Enjoy!
