Lucky Charms Snack Mix
I couldn’t wait to share this Lucky Charms Snack Mix here on the blog. It turned out so cute, and so delicious, too! We love a good sweet and salty snack mix, and this Lucky Charms version puts a fun twist on chex mix! St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, so add this lucky rainbow chex mix to your to-do list! It’s perfect for snacking, or makes a great addition to your school party, St. Patrick’s Day party, or family movie night. I recommend the Disney classic, Luck of the Irish.
Why we love this recipe-
- This St. Patrick’s Day Snack Mix is the perfect sweet treat for afterschool or lunch boxes.
- It’s easy enough that the kids can help make it, too! A fun way to spend a little extra time together making a fun treat.

- The combination of salty pretzels, crunchy chex, and sweet Lucky Charms marshmallows is so yummy in this holiday snack mix.
Lucky Charms Snack Mix Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels
- 1 1/2 cups Rice Chex Cereal
- 1/2 cup green M&M candies (we used the green mint M&M candies!)
- 2 cups Lucky Charms marshmallows (you don’t have to order anything special, just use the marshmallows from your box of Lucky Charms)
- 1 cup Lucky Charms cereal
- 12 oz. white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup green sprinkles
Directions:
Step 1: Line a large cookie sheet or baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Step 2: Layer onto the parchment paper the pretzels, rice chex, M&Ms, Lucky Charms marshmallows, and Lucky Charms cereal.
Step 3: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat white chocolate chips on 30 second intervals, stirring well in between, until chocolate is melted.
Step 4: Drizzle half of the white chocolate over the cereal mixture, then toss.
Step 5: Drizzle the remaining half of the chocolate over the mix, and toss again.
Step 6: Sprinkle with green sprinkles.
Step 7: Allow the mix to set, until chocolate solidifies. You can leave it right on the counter, or chill in the refrigerator.
Step 8: Break the mix until chunks, and serve, or store in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to enjoy.
Substitutions & Tips:
- You can swap the white chocolate chips for white vanilla almond bark- it is easier to melt and work with, and tastes great, too.
- You can use any chex cereal that you prefer- corn chex is also a great option!
- Though not required, you can purchase just lucky charms marshmallows. And, there are new puffy mini marshmallows shaped like the Lucky Charms originals, as well.
Your little leprechauns will love this lucky snack mix. It’s such a fun recipe, and makes a big batch for lots of fun snack opportunities.
